Dearly loved and loving husband of Shirley.
Loving father of Maree, Gabrielle, Andrew, Angela and James.
Father-in-law of Darryl, Johnny, Paul, David and Kaarina.
Adored Pa of Patrick, Stephanie, Teagan, Brody, Mikaela, Cooper, Forbes, Rafe, William and Freyja.
Great grandfather of Jax, Brayden and Ivy.

Mervyn was a maverick. He believed in people and helped them realise their creative dreams. Always a lover of colour and landscape Merv extended his sensibilities far and wide to people in far flung areas of the state. Memories of Mervyn's generosity will live on for a long long time through his students. I always quote him for helping me 'see' and with en plein air painting, Rest in Peace.
